General FAQs
Who do we hire? ExpandWe are actively hiring for RNs, Nurse Aides and Medical Laboratory Technologists. Technicians, Therapists, Veterinarians, Dental Nurses and additional healthcare professionals are welcome to provide their resume for consideration as our healthcare employer clients occasionally request other healthcare specialties.
What are the requirements to be an RN? ExpandMost healthcare employers require 1-3 years current in-patient bedside experience, in addition to successfully completing the NCLEX exam and an English language exam (IELTS or TOEFL) to work as a RN in the United States. We do occasionally have employers that will consider candidates that do not have current bedside experience.
Do I need NCLEX to apply? ExpandAll USRNs must take the NCLEX to begin the immigration process to work in the US as an RN. Some employers will consider RN candidates that have their ATT for the NCLEX. We also accept applications for Nurse Aides and other select healthcare professionals that do not require the NCLEX.
Is the IELTS or TOEFL required to apply? ExpandYou are welcome to apply now before completing an English language exam. However, you will need to complete IELTS or TOEFL before your VisaScreen during the RN application process. Our team can help you with this.
What states does HealthStaff hire in? ExpandWWHSS has clients in most states.
How much is the salary? ExpandSalary rates depend on several factors including your experience and the cost of living in the location where you may be assigned. A higher salary does not automatically equate to a higher standard of living.
How long is a contract? ExpandMost of our contracts are 36 months.
Do I need to pay WWHS for my placement? ExpandWWHSS is not a typical nurse staffing agency. We DO NOT charge staffing fees and we only offer direct hire, permanent placement full-time positions. We work with hospitals and healthcare employers that will provide nurse sponsorship for a permanent work visa (green card).
Do you hire Medical Laboratory Technologists? ExpandYes. Medical Laboratory Technologists need a minimum of 2 years current experience and certifications to apply. Medical Laboratory Technicians need a minimum of 1 year current experience working in a laboratory to apply.
Can I bring my family with me? ExpandYou are able to have your immediate family members (spouse and children under the age of 21) on your petition. There will be fees that the employer will cover on your behalf that will not be covered for your family members, like the cost of airfare to the US.
